Winter 2012 YA Scavenger Hunt!
Posted by Colleen Houck
in YA Scavenger Hunt
Hello and Welcome to the 5th YA Scavenger Hunt!
Hello! I am Colleen Houck, your hostess for this leg of the hunt. My likes include cheesy romance films (Team Edward with a side of Jacob), Tillamook ice cream, poodles, and the color red.
On this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each participating YA author, you also get a secret number. Add up the numbers, and enter it for a chance to win a major prize--one lucky winner will receive at least one signed book from each author on my team in the hunt! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online until noon PST on Sunday, December 2nd!
You can start right here or you can also go to the YA Scavenger Hunt
homepage to find out all about the hunt. There are TWO contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or both! I am a part of the RED TEAM--but there is also a blue team and if you do the blue hunt you'll have a chance to win a whole different set of signed books!
If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, see the full list of prizes up for grabs, or if you get lost along the way, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt
Looking for my exclusive bonus content? You'll have to keep searching. Somewhere on this blog hop, I've hidden an entire deleted chapter from Tiger's Destiny. It's called Diwali. There you'll find Ren, Kishan, Nilima, Mr. Kadam, and Kelsey celebrating the traditional holiday. Appropriate for this time of year, don't you think? Before you go on though, check out the amazing author I'm hosting. But, first, a few rules.
SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE
Below, you'll notice that I've listed my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the red team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!). Hint: the secret number is highlighted in RED.
: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here
to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.
Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by December 2nd, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.
Now that all the technical stuff is out of the way, I'll introduce the author I am hosting on this hunt.
I am super excited to be hosting...
TERA LYNN CHILDS
Not only is Tera Lynn a fabulous writer but she's also just cool and a good friend and I'm very excited to be able to introduce her. We had a fun mom moment at the last Romantic Times convention. As authors, it's hard for us not to get up and mingle and buy books so I sent my mom to scout out Tera and get her latest mermaid book while her mom came to find me to get a tiger book.
Bio: Tera Lynn Childs is the award-winning author of the mythology-based Oh. My. Gods. and Goddess Boot Camp, the mermaid tales Forgive My Fins, Fins Are Forever and Just For Fins, and a new trilogy about monster-hunting descendants of Medusa, starting with Sweet Venom and Sweet Shadows. She has also epublished two fun chick lit romances, Eye Candy and Straight Stalk. Tera lives nowhere in particular and spends her time writing wherever she can find a comfy chair and a steady stream of caffeinated beverages.
The book she's showcasing on the Winter Hunt is....
Sweet Venom Trilogy: SWEET SHADOWS
I love mythology based series. Here is some info about Sweet Shadows.
Gretchen has spent her life fighting the monsters that escape the abyss, but can she learn to rely on her sisters or even trust herself to keep them safe? Greer has pressing social commitments on her plate, but her powers of second sight and her fabled heritage seems to be creeping into her fashionable life. Grace has worries closer to home—like why her brother, Thane, has disappeared and if his secret is related to the secret heritage the triplets share? With the warring factions among the gods of Olympus coming for them, the creatures of the abyss pushing into their world, and the boys in their lives hiding secrets at every turn, the three girls must figure out where their fate will take them and how to embrace the shadows of their legacy.
I am putting the first book in the series here too in case you are interested in starting at the beginning. I'm looking forward to book three in the series too, which, (don't quote me on this but I think) is called Sweet Legacy. For more on this series or to check out Tera Lynn's other books, check out her website
I went on Amazon to browse through all of Tera Lynn's books and it looks like Sweet Legacy will be her 11 th book! That is an amazing accomplishment!
Now for the top secret bonus material. An alternate scene--the end of Sweet Venom told from the point of view of a different sister.
(Warning: If you haven’t read Sweet Venom yet, this is a spoiler. It is that final chapter—and the first chapter of Sweet Shadows—told from a different character’s viewpoint.)
Scanning the overflowing shelves of Gretchen’s library, binder after binder full of mean, nasty and disgusting monsters, I search for one to share with Greer—with my sister—while Gretchen—my other sister—takes a shower. I grab the one labeled Nuli. I vividly remember the picture of the ordinary looking creatures with feet that face backward. I’d almost snorted my soda when I saw that. Maybe Greer will think they’re funny too.
I drop into the chair and flip open the binder, looking for the image.
As I browse, I think about just how much has changed in the past few weeks—few days, really. My sisters and I have been reunited, I’ve learned about my mythological heritage, and I’ve taken down a handful of evil monsters. I can only imagine how much will change in the next few weeks.
I turn the page and find the drawing of the nuli.
“Look at his feet,” I say, pushing the binder across the table at Greer.
“Gross,” she says.
Not quite a smile, but I’ll take what I can get.
“You should see the panotti,” I say, making a face. “They have ears the size of their bodies.”
“Have you memorized all the binders?” she asks.
“No.” But I kind of have. I lower my gaze to the binder, embarrassed by my blatant display of nerdiness. What kind of girl obsessively remembers mythological monsters? “I’ve digitized most of them, though,” I say, “and the funnier images stand out.”
Greer looks like she’s about to say something more when she gets a horrified look on her face. She pushes to her feet, sending her chair clattering to the floor behind her.
Gretchen walks into the room.
“What’s wrong?” I ask.
“I—“ She leans forward, bracing her hands on the glass table top. “I don’t know. It’s just, all of a sudden, I got this really awful feeling.”
I glace at Gretchen.
“What kind of feeling?” she asks.
Greer looks at our sister. “Like something bad is about to happen.”
At that exact moment, Gretchen’s phone rings. Talk about weird timing. She runs to grab the call, and I turn my attention back to Greer. She looks terrible—pale and nauseous. What can I do? Should I offer her something to drink or—
Gretchen races back into the room, screaming, “Run!”
I’m so stunned by her outburst that I don’t react fast enough. She grabs each of us—me and Greer—by an arm and drags us toward the balcony. I hardly have time to brace myself before Gretchen lifts Greer and tosses her into the water below, then turns and does the same to me.
I have never felt anything so cold. The water is practically ice, shocking the breath right out of me as I try not to breathe in. I have to think clearly. I have to get back to the surface. I force myself still for a moment and then, as soon as my body begins to float up, I point myself that way and start kicking.
Breaking the surface, I suck in a hard breath of salty air.
My entire body shivers, erupting into violent shakes. I clench my jaw and struggle to keep my muscles and my panic under control.
Once my bloodstream has oxygen again—my brain accepts that I’m not going to drown—I start looking for my sisters. Greer is already up, treading water a few feet away. Her eyes widen with relief when she sees me and then we both start scanning for Gretchen. As I turn back toward the loft I see the flames.
Even as Gretchen emerges, safe and sound in the frigid bay, I can’t take my eyes off the blazing building above us. Gretchen follows the direction of my stare and sees her entire life burning to the ground. What happened?
“This is bad,” Greer mutters.
I blink through the tears. “Somebody tried to kill us.”
“You think?” Gretchen barks.
“All those books.” Shaking my head, I say, “Thank goodness I got most of the binders done, but all those resources…”
I can’t believe the library is just gone.
I can’t believe my sisters and I almost died. Again. Clearly, the biggest danger isn’t behind us. I have a feeling things are only going to get crazier from here on out.
I love bonus material! =)
If you think this series is just what you've been looking for, you can buy your copies at IndieBound or on Amazon.
Thank you so much for visiting the TIGER'S CURSE SERIES website! While you're here don't forget to enter the bonus contest I am running exclusively during the YA Scavenger Hunt.
I will be giving away ten copies of the first book in my series, TIGER'S CURSE, as well as a grand prize collector's edition set of all my books. This prize pack is something you don't want to miss out on. To be eligible to win, enter on the rafflecopter below.
For an extra bonus entry, leave a comment on my website telling me if you could shift into any animal, which one would you choose and why?
Ready to move on to the next link in the hunt?
Im the biggest fan ever:) i research the books and study the books like they are my school books!!!! Love them!!!
If i could transform into an animal i would transform into a bird. I would love to be able to fly and feel the wind blow through my wings, and the world unfold below me. To have wings would make me so happy. To be able to see everything, and touch the clouds, would be amazing.
If I could shift into anything, I would rather be a cat because I think being a cat is happier than being a human. At least that's what I think. The most important is that I love cat. If I become one of them, I think it will be an extraordinary thing! By the way, I love your books, so please don't stop writing!
I would love to win the grand prize because for (1) I am a huge fan of the Tiger's Curse series and for (2) I need a good whole set. I've only read the first three books, and book one has been through the mill and is missing its cover. I don't own a copy of book two because I checked it out of the library, but I do own the third. Therefore, I would adore this completed and beautiful set. Plus, who can turn down some handsome tigers! =D
I would like to win because I haven't had the chance to read the books, I've heard a lot about the series and this can be a really huge and wonderful chance to read them! Keeping fingers crossed!
I should win Colleen's grand prize because Colleen and Colleen's stories mean the world to me. I am her biggest fan and she is the reason I have been doing this Scavenger Hunt three times now, without winning one prize. I love love love her and can't wait for Tiger's Dream to come out. By winning these books, I promise to make the 5 times I've read the series into 10 times!!!
If i could turn into anything, i would probably pick wolf or Panther. So i could be sneaky, and i could always sense if someone was trying to scare me.)
I think I should win because I absolutely love your books and will cherish a copy of the book(s) always, and I will most likely always bring it on the plane whenever I go somewhere! (Plus I love Ren)
I want to win because I'm a huge fan of your Tiger series and I really want to reread all of the books!
I have been wanting to read the third and fourth book for forever and have never had the time to get them! Also if I could change into any animal I would become a wolf because howling at the moon would just be loads of fun, being able to run super fast would be a major bonus!
Thanks for the chance to win this amazing giveaway!I've never read your books before, but I hear they are amazing, and they are on my wishlist! I can never find the first one though, unless I order online :)
You books sounds really good, and they are at th top of my christmas list. It would be awesome to win your books. If I could turn into any animal, I would want to be an eagle, so I could fly
I'm such a massive fan the the Tiger's Curse series! They are the best series ever.
I would love to win this prize, mostly because I loved wining one of your books! I motly want to win it because, Im from Spain and I`ve read your first book in spanish but I would love to read it in english! I think all of us love your books so we all deserve them, I`m only hoping I have enough of good luck to win. If I could be any animal I would be an eagle. I would love to fly in such liberty and go to were I want to go when I want to go.
I believe each and every one of us is worthy of winning this awesome prize. I think it's a matter of who wants it the most. As for me, I'm just hopeful that by some luck, I would finally get the chance to read the entire series. I've heard so many raves and praises. I hope I could read it soon. I actually have the 2nd book but I'm a firm believer in starting right from the start since I hate spoilers. Anyway, sorry for babbling, Coleen. I am not entirely sure if I'm making any sense but yeah, I hope I win. :D
Goodluck to everyone! :)
Thanks alot for hosting this super amazing hunt... :)
Well I could TOTALLY say that I'm a freaking blog follower so I deserve them. Or I could say that I've heard amazing things. But that's just Cliche. We hate cliches. So let me try a different approach.
I really really really want to do a Tigers Curse Marathon. I own book one but I'm kinda holding off till I get a hold of all the other ones so I can just read them straight. I totally know I'll love them. MY BFF loves them. Tehe. For the most part I love every book she loves.
So that's my geeky reason. :D Thanks for listening and hosting this fun Hunt!
If I could shift into any animal it would be a PANDA!!! Pandas are the most awesome animals on the planet and deserved to be recognized along with other endangered species such as the tiger. Anyway, who wouldn't want to eat all day and slouch around like a panda?! They're so cute and fluffy!
If I could shift into any animal I think I'd be a house cat. They're inconspicuous, they generally get whatever they want (my two cats can attest to that), and they're independent like me.
If I could turn into any kind of animal, I would probably turn into a tiger ou any other kind of feline.
I would love to be able to turn into a bird!
I would like to win this because of so many reasons. My friends, well book blogging friends, have been hounding me to read these and while I want to I don't have the money to go buy them myself. So this would be so awesome to win. They look super awesome and I can't believe I haven't read them yet.! When I finally do my blogging friends will have to find a new book to hound me about, but at least I would have read this one :)
I'm yet to read any of the Tiger's Curse series and I love collecting signed YA books :D
I have to write my comment again the whole thing didn't show up the first time. If I could change into any animal, I would change into a bird. A bird that could fly. Birds don't have to stay tied to one spot their entire lives. They can soar among the clouds and journey around the world. They can just pick up and leave and go somewhere beautiful. I wish I could do that. It would be amazing.
chapter by chapter
Because I'm dying to read this series!!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I would absolutely love to win these books. I would love to ownthe complete collection of them so i can read them over and over and over again. I just loved them that much. Especially the characters. Alagan Dhiren Rajaram

I think I should win because I'm a huge book lover and I have been wanting to read this series for quite some time now and just got started with my wonderful book club on Tiger's Curse!
Because I have read EVERY book several times! I love them and am about to go buy them for myself... unless I win them. .)
~ Mythical Word
I would love to shift into an owl. I have always been a night person and I am sure that flying would be fantastic. Not so much on the predator aspect... but, when in Rome!
I'm a crazy YA book reader, and tigers are HAWT!! I really want to read this series!!
I would love to win because I love your books!! And if I could shape shift into any animal it would probably be a fly because I bet you could hear a lot of interesting things

I would say snow leopard? They are insanely gorgeous and live in the mountains! Which could be fun...
I have never read this book series and I have always wanted to. It seems so interesting and I have heard so many good reviews about it:)
If I could choose I would love to shift into a jaguar. A black jaguar. Just to be able to run as fastas they can and feel the wind in my face and the earth beneath my paws would be amazing.
Thanks for creating YASH!
I think I'd like to turn into a kitty cat because they seem to have the easiest kind of life. They mostly just lay around all day : ) I think I should win because those are awesome books and I really need them on my bookshelf!!
I should win because I love your series, and I have the ebooks, so I would LOVE to have the whole book set!! :) (and so would my brother ,I got him hooked on reading and he loves your series too!:) ).
I would love to turn into a dog because why not be man's best friend haha! I would love to read Tigers Curse!
I would love to win the Tiger's Curse Collector's Edition Prize Pack because I absolutely love the Tiger's Curse series! I entered many contests before, but I never won any of them. Yet, I always felt positive that one day I would win a grand prize given by Colleen Houck. She is an amazing author and I hope to become a great writer like her. I would give the extra copies of the first three books of the series to my friends as gifts and to keep "Tiger's Destiny" so that my brother and I could read it, and I would love to have the poster so that I can hang it up in my room to add a bit of color to my room.
I should win because I want to so so so much :D Dying to read your books.
If I could be any animal, I'd be a panther, they're so cool and so majestic. Or an eagle.
Thanks for the giveaway. I'm dying to read your books!
I would love to win because the books sound really great and I didn't have a chance to read them yet.
If I could shift into any animal it would be a tree leopard, because they are so strong, graceful and beautiful.
I would love to win, because I haven,t gotten to read them yet and they sound great. I would like to be a shape shifting peagus
Nicole@ The More the Merrier
I would love to win so that I could finally read a series I have been hearing so many good things about!
If I could shift it would be into a cheetah.
I'd love t win this, because you are an amazing writer and I would love to reread and always go through Kelseys journey with Ren, Kishan, Mr. Kadam forever!
I would love to win the Tiger books collection, because my bookcase just isn't complete without them.
And as for what animal I would like to be able to turn into it would have to be a dragon, not only would I be able to fly, but I could breath fire...what could be better than that (I would have blue scales...just in case you were wondering)
I'd love to win as I have heard so many great things about this series and have only just started getting into the fantasy genre, so thought these books would be a great place to start.
As for what animal I'd turn into, it would have to be a lion, since my starsign is Leo.
Because I am way to obsessed with this book series, on second thought we need to wean me off these books slowly....very slowly.
I have listen and read amazing things about the books, I have a friend that LOVES THEM LIKE CRAZY! And I I found EXTREMELY APPEALING that is about TIGERS and I love tigers.
It cut me off! lol. Anyways, I would die for the pajamas that said, "I
I would turn into a tiger! Since I read the first book, I been in love with them and have now cared for their well-being. I am working hard to do my part to save the tiger. I never knew they were even endangered till Tiger's Curse made me love tigers. I think I should win because I am such a bookworm and if I could, all I would buy is books. If I could turn into any kind of animal, I would choose a unicorn, because unicorns are full of awesome. :D If not a mythological animal, I'd pick a narwhal (my favorite animal) or other undersea creature. It would be so much fun to be able to see (and breathe!) underwater.
I think I should win this contest for the obvious reason: I love Tiger's Curse. Every time I reread them, I get reminded that somewhere in the world some guy will fall for you (it doesn't even have to be in America :D) and that I should always follow my heart. And I think that if you feel that way towards a book, then you have something special. When I think about it, it all sounds kind of corny, but it's the truth :)
I should win because it was my birthday yesterday and this series is my all time favorite!!!!
Love your books! :)

And having the collector's edition books will make me the happiest person EVER! I have really wanted them and have looked at anyways to get them but I can never find anything. To have them I my hands... All I know is that it would probably be the only thing to piece my heart back together after Tiger's Destiny. Thank you!
I'd like to win the GP because I've heard such great things about this lovely series, but I haven't had the chance to pick it up yet. I love to have all the books in a series when possible, so I can go from book to book. The wait always drives me INSANE!! :)

I love the YASH and am a big book collector which my hubby say's is starting to get out of control but he doesn't read books so he doesn't understand the more books the merrier :)
I'd love to win because I love books. I take care of them delicately and don't take lightly damage to my collection. I can't afford to buy books right now and am depending on giveaways to keep on reading. I've won so many great treasures and I want to keep growing my collection. I've been reviewing on Goodreads and am working on spreading my reviews through Amazing, Shelfari, Library Thing, Barnes & Noble and trying to start my own blog. I love books and want to spread the love, and discuss books in every way I can.
Thank for the chance to win!
i would love to win such a prize because i treasure books and being international winning this is the only opportunity to have it

I think I should win because then I will finally be able to read this series!
Hey, I have been trying and trying, but Michelle Gagnon was hard to find. When I finally found her post, it cut off right before her number. Is there ANYONE who knows what it is? I don't want to enter with the wrong number. Thanks!
If I could shift into any animal, it would be a bird. Traveling is something that I love and, as a bird, I could soar over the city and go from here to there with my own strength and ability. There is nothing better than to feel morning breeze and smell earthly scents.
Because I'd love to be able to read it and review it in both my native language and English. Because how can you say no to great books?
I don't know why I should win the grand prize, the only I know is that I WANT IT.
posted as Jenny V:
I'd love to win because I haven't srated this series yet bbut have wanted to. I've heard so many good things about it. And thanks fior hosting the Scavenger Hunt!
I would shift into a Dolphin. I would be able to live underwater and travel around the world. And if an apocalypse comes, I'll be safe from harm. LOL. Unless, of course, something happens to the ocean. :)
Thank you for this awesome Hunt! I love playing :)
I'd love to win the grand prize because this series sounds amazing and we don't have all the books out here in my country.
And I'd shift into a wolf. I'd like to be brave and fierce.
Thanks for this amazing giveaway!
Hi, Colleen =]
I would like to be a harpy eagle, because I love going to high places and keep watching the view for a time. And it would be wonderful to get this local flying. =D
First off as the bonus entry the animnal I would shift into would be a wolftigre (i have even drawn one) because not only are they my 2 favorite animals but i think being able to be hybrid of the two would just make me fierce and a huntress!
I reaaaaallllllly want to win Miss Colleens grand prize because not only am i a huge fan of the series but I really honor and look up to her an amazing author. to win this would like winning the lotto for me :) Love the Meow Meows!!
A falcon so I could fly. A dolphin so I could dive. A cheetah so I could run fast. A cat so I could have nine lives. A lion so I could be king. a sloth so I could take time to smell the flowers. A penguin so I could slide on my belly and swim like a fish. A dog so I could be a best friend.
I have not read any of your books yet but I would really like to, and to read all of them all at once one right after the other would be the best!
I really enjoyed reading the first book, Tiger's Curse, but haven't gotten a chance to read the rest. Need them now!!!
I haven't read the book yet so winning this will give me a chance to read the series. And I have read great reviews about the books and I want to be part of the fan base of this series :)
I think I should win this contest for the obvious reason: I love Tiger's Curse. It is an incredible series which includes everything that I look for in the perfect book: romance
I desperately want to read the series. I hear so many great things about it.
I would shift into a bengal tiger because tiger's are my favorite animal and have been for many years. Tiger's are beautiful and majastic creatures that i crave.
So excited about the scavenger hunt and all the prizes!
I would turn into a wolf or a tiger. I would want to be a wolf because they live in packs so someone is always there for them no matter what. I would want to be the alpha or the beta because I actually like to lead, and I think that it would be nice to know that there is a whole pack that counts on me and has my back. Of course, I'll have all of their backs too :D I would want to be a tiger because ever since I have read these books, tigers have become one of my favorite animals. They have an interesting way of life, and they always have a family or a mate there to protect them. Preferably, I would be a white tiger :D
I should win, because i love Tiger's Curse series.

I should win, cause I am just so freaking awesome. LOL thanks so much!!!
I think I should win because I find I am absolutely in love with this book series. I think they are all fantastic and it would be a wonderful reminder of this grand scavenger hunt too. I do not have a lot of time to read during the year, but when I do, I would love nothing more than to curl up with this book series and read - and reread- for hours. :)
Because I've heard such AWESOME things about this series online, but have to spend all my money on college textbooks :(
This is an easy question, because if I could be any animal I would be a talking parrot. I would be a talking parrot, because I love talking. If I had to be an animal I would hate not being able to talk. Talking is one of my favorite things along with laughing. So I would be a parrot, by far.

I think I should win the prize because I am absolutely in love with the series. Ren and Kishan are like my dream men. Also I can really relate with Kelsey. I may not know loss like she does but I do understand how she feels. Also, Not only did I get my mom hooked on the series, but my grandma, and 4 of my other friends hooked too!!! I recommend it to everyone I come into contact with that reads. :) Its one of my favorite series :) Good luck to everyone!
I am a new (ish) fan of yours Colleen, but I'm soooooo in love with the Tiger's Curse series! I have all your books as ebooks and books 1 & 3 in print and an ARC of 4. It would mean the world to me if I were to win the entire series in print! (By the same publisher lol)
Thank you so much for your amazing work and for this amazing giveaway!!
Let's be serious here, you can find werewolves in almost any book that has shifters in it. Your books are the first I have seen that feature TIGERS. My all time favourite animal is the tiger (White Tiger to be precise), so I think it would be beyond interesting to see something I really like have actual thoughts and personalities. It would be a new experience...one I am looking forward to!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I've never gotten to read the Tiger's Curse series, but my best friend is absolutely obssessed with them! She's been wanting me to read them for awhile, but she wanted to wait until the series was finished cause we both hate waiting for sequals. Winning all of them, or even the first one, would be a great Christmas present for her!
Ever since I was 8 I always thought it would be amazing to change into a wolf. Wolves are mysterious, gorgeous creatures and they are mesmerizing to me. I feel like you can look into their deep eyes and see their soul and your own. They are captivating. I would also love to feel the connection they have to nature and their pack. Their pack connection goes beyond loyalty to love. and I would love to experience the feeling of running through the forest, smelling the pine trees, feeling the crunch of snow under my pads and feel the wind through my fur.
because I haven't read any of Colleen's books yet but I hear they are incredible. I really want to them to come to the kindle! Pretty please?!
I Would like to win because I love you books and have annotated them and I have a comment on almost every page. Your book got me into a reading frenzy and I can not stop reading. I read over 30 books this last summer and cant wait to read more. Your books have given me a new interest and respect for writing. Please never stop!
I should win the prize b/c well..it is hard to say why i should win b/c it implys there is something about me that makes me more important or special then all the other fans. Which isn't true. We are all equal beings. But if i had to say something it would be b/c my sister and i are the real life female Renand Kishan. We are indian. She is more poetic(writes poetry tno joke) and "dateable" then i am and iam more pysical talent yet i do have the capasity to be equal to her. So ..yeah
Hm I'd go with either a large cat of some sort (like a Cheetah or Black Panther) or maybe a wolf.
It's hard to choose because between those three because are just so amazing.
I think I deserve to win because I absolutely love this series, and Kelsey and her tigers, and I'm a student, so I can't afford the books :( Though everybody deserves to win :)
Your books are my favorite. they are at the top of every book list I have. that's right number one! I tell all my friends about your books too! Tigers are my favorite animals, thats how I got sucked into your books! I also feel that I relate to Kelesy. sometimes I still feel like a turnip! You write with so much adventure and passion that you inspired me to write my own book. Thank you for this contest I am a huge fan! :)
As a huge lover of tigers, it is amazing that I have not read these books yet but I have a feeling I will LOVE them!
If I could transform into any animal, it would be a spotted dolphin because I'd love to be able to explore the ocean and swim with really fast speeds through the water, bow-riding waves of boats and doing all kinds of jumps. Also, this particular species lives in tropical waters too, so I can explore some of those habitats.
I LOVED the first book in the series. Unfortunately, I'm saving up for college, so I can't spend money on books anymore. I'd love to read the others!
i have heard amaing things about this series, but haven't gotten a chance to read it yet! i would love the opportunity to start it by winning a copy! thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
If I could shape shift into any animal, it would be a normal house cat. They're so gorgeous, get tons of lovin', and can sleep whenever they want! How awesome would that be? They're also very graceful, and I am not, so that would be a bonus.
I would change into a tiger because they are regal and majestic!
I am the biggest fan and was crazy about these books since the first appeared at my library!!!
Thank you Colleen for sharing your imagination with us!!!!!
The animal i would want to chnage into would be a bird. i would love to feel 'free like a bird'. plus who wouldnt love to fly!
I love Tigers Curse! I have been hooked ever since seeing the cover (and they say don't judge a book by its cover, lol)
I have been a fan since the first book came out and I have been to your author signings. Plus I love tigers!! :)
I've heard incredible things about the Tiger's Curse series and I've yet to try it out. Would love the opportunity to finally do so!
Yes! It is now open! Good luck to everyone!
I would love to win your grand prize Colleen! Why wouldn't I?
I love The Tiger Saga and it's my favorite series, but I have just ebooks and would like to have all books in print :)
I think I would turn into a raven. They are so beautiful with different colors in their feathers, and they have the freedom of the sky.
I really want to start the Tiger's Curse series, but sadly I only have an ARC of the 4th one, so I'd love to win the rest of the books :D Thanks so much for hosting the Hunt!!
I think I would want to change into a wolf or white tiger
