Welcome to the Spring 2013 YA Scavenger Hunt!

Posted by Colleen Houck in Contests, YA Scavenger Hunt

Hello and Welcome to the 6th YA Scavenger Hunt!

Hello! I am Colleen Houck, your hostess for this leg of the hunt.

I do most of my shopping online. My hair is a little stripey. And I have 29 nieces and nephews with one more on the way. Currently, I am fiercely competing for aunt of the year.

Did somebody mention...an award of some kind?

On this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each participating YA author, you also get a secret number. Add up the numbers, and  enter it for a chance to win a major prize--one lucky winner will receive at least one signed book from each author on my team in the hunt! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online until noon PST on Sunday, April 7th!

You can start right here or you can also go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage to find out all about the hunt. There are TWO contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or both! I am a part of the BLUE TEAM--but there is also a red team and if you do the red hunt too you'll have a chance to win a whole different set of signed books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, see the full list of prizes up for grabs, or if you get lost along the way, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

Looking for my exclusive bonus content? You'll have to keep searching. Somewhere on this blog hop, I've hidden an alternate ending for Tiger's Destiny where you'll get to see Ren and Kelsey as parents!  Shocking reveals are just around the corner. Before you go on though, check out the amazing author I'm hosting. But, first, a few rules.

SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've listed my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the blue team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!). Hint: the secret number is highlighted in BLUE.

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally. Anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by April 7th, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Now that all the technical stuff is out of the way, I'll introduce the author I am hosting on this hunt.

I am super excited to be hosting...

AMBER ARGYLE

Amber's Bio: I am the author of Witch Song and its sequel, Witch Born. I have two books coming out in 2013-Witch Fall, a prequel for the Witch Song series, and Winter Queen, the first book in the Fairy Queen trilogy. I run because I like to eat chocolate and fit in my jeans. I have a thing for vintage inspired clothes. Also, I can't fathom why people eat tootsie rolls.

The book she's showcasing on the Spring 2013 Hunt is....
WITCH BORN
Book 2 in the Witch Song Series!

Isn't this cover beautiful?! Here is some info about WITCH BORN.

Brusenna is truly beginning to understand the burden each Witch born must bear-the power searing inside her is bright enough to save the world, but she just might burn herself out.

I am putting the first book in the series here too in case you are interested in starting at the beginning. For more on this series or to check out Amber's other books, check out her website.

I was looking at Amber's website recently and it appears as if she's got six books either completed or in the works. I wonder then what her 7  th will be?

Now for Amber's top secret bonus material, the first chapter of her next book! Are you excited? Cause I am!

Witch Fall

Chapter 1 (draft)

Li pointed her hands above her head and leapt off the boulder into the pool at the base of the waterfall. She sliced through the cool water, kicking until she reached the rocky bottom. There she paused. Everything looked different down here. The water caught the sharp sunlight, bending it into slanting shafts of turquoise. The faces of the other girls on shore were wavering and insubstantial—as if they were mere reflections instead of flesh and blood. It was like looking at the outside world through a mirror.

But which side was real and which was the reflection?

Li wished she didn’t have to go back. That she could stretch this moment beneath the cool water forever. But her lungs began to ache for air. Closing her eyes, she sent a silent prayer to the Sun God that she could somehow escape her fate. Toes pushing off the rocks, she swam upward. She broke the surface and took a gasping breath.

“Come on, Li! Everyone else is nearly finished and we haven’t even started on your hair yet. The wedding feast will start soon.” The water had turned Pan’s normally dark frizz into gorgeous curls.

Li’s bare legs flashed pale as she stepped out of the pool and climbed up the rocky bank. She pulled one of Pan’s curls, a sad smile gracing her lips as it sprang back up. “I’ll never get to come swimming with you anymore.”

Pan’s looked away. “Is it so bad, marrying my father?”

Words tripped up Li's throat before becoming a jumbled mess in her mouth. Instead of answering, she finally gave into the inevitable and pulled her gorgeous wedding robes over her damp skin.

 I love bonus material! =)

If you think this series is just what you've been looking for, you can buy your copies on Amazon.

Thank you so much for visiting the TIGER'S CURSE SERIES website! While you're here don't forget to enter the bonus contest I am running exclusively during the YA Scavenger Hunt.

I will be giving away ten copies of the first book in my series, TIGER'S CURSE, as well as a grand prize collector's edition set of all my books. This prize pack is something you don't want to miss out on. To be eligible to win, enter on the rafflecopter below.

For an extra bonus entry, leave a comment on this blog and answer the following: When it comes to romance, do you prefer a good guy or a bad boy and why?

WHERE IS IT?? I was originally thinking that the hiding spot might be something to do with the word 'corner' but my hope is dying... :(

lumanellanime

Can somebody please tell me where the alternate ending of Tiger's Destiny is? I can't find it anywhere and I'm desperate! Thanks.

praises4hymn@yahoo.com

Both good and bad. Good because who could resist a sweet honest guy that's carrying and always there. But, a bad guy because a life of adventure, risk, and the unpredictable is more exciting then the norm.

April 11, 2013

whitetiger13

When its comes to it i love a guy like Ren (it's like Colleen invented my dream guy!).)

April 8, 2013

Flavia

Good guys with sweet eyes,always

April 7, 2013

whitetigerlover98

I would certainly and most definitely go with good guys like Ren because you will know when someone loves as much as Ren loves Kelsey they'll never leave you. Plus he's everything I look for in a guy :)

April 7, 2013

AngelaWrite

I would most definitely choose the good guy. Although the bad boy seems enticing, I like the cheesy good guys! :) Thanks for the giveaway!

April 7, 2013

fencer56

I would say a bad guy, because you can never predict what they'll do. And, I tend to believe there's good in everyone, so even in a bad boy there will be genuine love and respect for the girl he is falling for.

April 7, 2013

whitetigerblueeyes101

I would choose a good guy because then I would know he would be honest with me and would always care about me and protect me. Like Ren!!!!! Omg I love Ren!!!! :D

April 7, 2013

StephsStacks

I was a bad boy girl in my younger years, but am much wiser now and good boys are the way to go!

April 7, 2013

danmarie95

In romance, I'm looking for a good guy. While a bad boy may be fun for a little while you know you are going to get your heart broken in the end. If you look for a good guy you have a better chance at a happier ending. Not saying it always happens this way but you can't make anyone change and if you are with a bad boy he has to want to change and be a better guy but then you are changing the person you wanted to be with so obviously a bad boy isn't what you really wanted. So, I guess for me I need a good guy.

April 7, 2013

Jeanne

A good boy all the way! He'll take care of you and be reliable. I'd take that anyday over just the excitment of a bad boy.

April 7, 2013

Serani

I would prefer a good boy. Someone who is sweet and charming. Someone who loves me for who I am. Although...I could go with either one:)

April 7, 2013

Hedwig

I would say both because it's nice to have a good, sweet, caring guy but also having a bad, mysterious side is intriguing too. Both together is the best of both worlds.

April 7, 2013

alaiel.kreuz

I prefer a combination of both ^^U I know, I know, is not a valid answer but what can I say? Good boys can be a little bit boring sometimes and bad boys can take things not so serious so... a middle point? A good boy with a like for exciting things? Thank for YASH! I remember it started with your hard work and now it's one of the best events ever!!! :D

April 7, 2013

Star17

When it comes to romance, I would prefer a good guy because he would be more of a gentleman than a bad guy and he would be respectful. But, he could have a little bit of a bad side by being strong and tough.

April 7, 2013

Shubhi

I know it makes more sense to fall for the good guy, but the bad boy holds a certain appeal for me. There's this rush of adrenaline and taste of excitement that comes with falling for the bad boy :)

April 7, 2013

kashtastic

So hard to decide. I think most of the time I go for a good guy in books but there are times when the bad boy is just so delicious that I can't help my self but hoping that he prevails.

April 7, 2013

Gemonymous

Bad boys, for sure. They say opposites attract .)

April 7, 2013

narnii

definitely a bad boy. more of a suprise

April 7, 2013

Nomes3329

Definitely the Bad Boy!! OMG!!! The arrogant ones too!!

April 6, 2013

whatIwhant

When it comes to romance I love the bad boys! .) they make everything, always, unexpected! They add the danger and adventure! Also who doesn't love a bad boy! :)

April 6, 2013

Armando Read

I am a man and I don't know what to say, but If I have to choose I would prefer a good guy that later would be bad. ¡Best regards!

April 6, 2013

nspringer11

In novels I like the bad boys. They seem just a bit more dangerous and more interesting. What girl doesn't want to think that she can make a bad boy become good? However in real life, I always pick those good boys.

April 6, 2013

eli yanti

bad buy all the time, they are more attactive :D

April 6, 2013

fall1231998

I would go for witch ever would be nice, respectful, and understanding

April 6, 2013

loveinwaiting34

I prefer the good guy. They are always sweet and kind in every way. Thanks for the giveaway!

April 6, 2013

EpicFantasy

oh dear, its so hard for me!! I guess it depends on the book. I love the good guy characteristics because they are always trying to do the best for everyone one. BUT with the bad guy he has more conflict in trying to do whats best and you are able to see that they really are good people as well. I do like reading how fierce each one of them is about the people they love and care about.

April 6, 2013

Birds eye

Hmmmm. I think I would normally chose the good guy because they are just better. I don't really know why, but I always like the good guy WAY more.. =D

April 6, 2013

Laura Booklover

I prefer bad boys in books, but not the bad-bad, I mean the boy that acts like a bad boy but has just a broken heart. That´s in books, in real life I prefer good boys :)

April 6, 2013

sweety

In real life : good guy In books : bad guy because no one wants too much heartache in real lives, right?? :) Thanks for the giveaway(hope it's international). BTW,I'm from India!! :) Rafflecopter name - Rose Lennart

April 6, 2013

tiffaney

I wish I could say I fall for the good guy, but that would be a lie. I always go for the bad boy. The danger aspect of a bad boy is alluring. I like the attitude of a bad boy.

April 6, 2013

NerdyGirl88

I always fall for the bad boy. But I do love me a sweet charming Prince every now and then .) Thank you so much for this incredibly giveaway and for an amazing scavenger hunt!

April 6, 2013

whatsherface02

Good guys, no question!

April 6, 2013

Shelver506

Depends. In real life, I look good, trustworthy boys all the way. Usually in books that's my pick as well, but I can be swayed by a redeemable bad boy.

April 6, 2013

anastasia

I prefer bad boys. They are mysterious and charming.Perfect combination! :)

April 6, 2013

LilSis75

I normally like the bad boys they are just more interesting. I guess I am drawn to trouble. BUT in some stories I like the good guy.

April 6, 2013

ann_xiong98

I don't know who i'd go for! >.< If the bad guy was acting like one, but was actually good, I'd go for him. -.- idk, good guys are too....good. lol but i'd perfer good guys anyways, or my mom won't approve. lol

April 6, 2013

kpaquette

Oh I usually fall for the good guy. They are pretty hard to resist with their charm and whooing,

April 6, 2013

writerquirk

I hate to say it but the allure of the bad boy usually gets me!

April 6, 2013

tigerzcurseluvfurlife

When it comes to to my romance prefrence I would probubly chose a good guy. Good guys like Ren. I like good guys more because they are more gentle and sweet, and plus they don't do things that you dont want to. They dont pressure you do do things that your not comfortable. Like Ren, he asked for permission to kiss Kelsey! How considerate, and very charming in my opinion. Plus with good guys they will probubly be very devoted to you, but with bad boys they might be a player and don't really care what you want. But, on the other hand they could be a bad boy that's really sweet. In the end I think good guys are the best at romance. Plus with good guys they will be very careful about what they do. Good guys will wait to pounce when the girl is ready.

Sorry, I prefer to write my comments in Portuguese.

April 6, 2013

annabelle-h

Ah that's hard, I have to say good guy though as they get overlooked so much!

April 6, 2013

PaperbackPrincess

A bit of both. Too good is boring, too bad is not likeable :D

April 6, 2013

CarlyJayne

I love a bad guy with good intentions .)

April 6, 2013

misswaverly

Bad boy but only if they can also just chill and do whatever. Kinda like Kishan. Speaking of Kishan I finally found the perfect color for his eyes. Office max brand metallic markers. The blue is perfect for ren's eyes. Yeah off topic but just wanted o get that out their for all the extreme TC fans

April 6, 2013

Evie T.

I really like a good guy in general. It's great to read a love story with a main character that is sweet, charming and a good friend to the girl. Thanks for the giveaway! Rafflecopter username: Evie

April 6, 2013

lollybees3

It depends on the guy I guess. In some cases the 'bad boy' is my favorite, but I think Kishan is considered the bad boy and Ren is my very, very high on my list of favorite book boys. Also the 'bad boy/womanizer turned good by one girl' thing is a tad overused in my opinion. So as long as they're hot and good at heart I'm theirs good or bad. P. S. I just wanted to say that your extra content was too much for my poor heart. I couldn't get past the first sentence without making a strange noise and there were tears in my eyes through most of it. Thank you for those characters.

April 5, 2013

Summer's Day

I think more of a bad boy, with them you never know what's going to happen. Of course it might not always be good like they could end up in jail, or in serious trouble. But with them you always get a thrill when doing somthing your not supposed to. While with a good boy, you can fall into a sort of routine. In my opinion with a good boy the realationship just gets...boring.

April 5, 2013

mbrightonpeace

I always prefer a bad boy when it comes to romance in novels. I don't know its just more fun keeps you on the edge of your seat very interesting to read!

April 5, 2013

cheeryRN

I seem to prefer the "bad" character in most love triangle stories. The guy i ship usually loses the girl or turns out to be rotten to the core (yeah, I'm talking about you Seth from the Covenant series). It really depends on the authors interpretation of bad boy and how the chemistry between the characters comes across.

April 5, 2013

Mariella

Uhhh, well I love bad boys in books and I have never had a bad boy as boyfriend so maybe for a change I would go with him. But in the end, when it cames to the real deal it doesn't matter if it is a good o bad boy as long as he makes you happy, understands and supports you.

April 5, 2013

maggie

I like the playfulness of a bad boy...... They usually have a great sense of humor. There is an element of surprise in their unpredictability. I also favor the loyalty of a good guy.... they are always by your side...

April 5, 2013

MaidaLove

Bad boys of course! They are unpredictable and always manage to keep you on your toes, not to mention their sexy smiles, eyes and snarky remarks! What's not to love!?? lol .p

April 5, 2013

Pastel

Definitely a good guy. It's a good way to go.

April 5, 2013

Catnip

I would prefer a good guy because I know I would know he would always be there for me, and sweet guys are so cute! Though bad boys have a certain draw, in the end the best long-term relationships would be built with a thoughtful and sweet partner :)

April 5, 2013

Monica

In real life, the good guy because that's the safe way. However, I always aim for the bad guy when I'm reading a book :) Thanks for YASH!!

April 5, 2013

snyderyan93

It really depends on the guy. I mean... not everyone is cut and dry good and bad. I mean, both the types are hott. Especially bad boys....... but good guys can be darling. (: I am beating around the bush.... er.. bad boys. i know. I was supposed to be good. (: sorry.

April 5, 2013

booksntea

Definitely the good guy. I don't have the patience for bad boy shenanigans! - Jackie G.

April 5, 2013

bibliophile_kate

When it comes to a boyfriend, I severely lack in that department :'( So I might like to try a bad boy every now and again to spice things up, but in my heart of hearts I know that I will end up with the good boy because I know he will always be there for me and will love me for who I truly am and won't break my heart repeatedly.

April 5, 2013

teamrenotkishan

I usually prefer bad boys but Tiger's Curse changed my mind! Im team Ren all the way!!

April 5, 2013

yinyang88

the cover looks so sick!

April 5, 2013

TigerStripe

When it comes to romance, I prefer a guy who is a little good AND a little bad which is what tore me in two when it came to the Tiger's Curse series. I could not choose whether I wanted Kelsey to be with sweet, poetic Ren or daring, wild Kishan! If I were Kelsey, I could never choose just one! Both please! :-)

April 5, 2013

Sophi2S

When it comes to romance, I like the good guy, yet I end up drawn to the bad boy. I would like to keep my heart secure, but the thrill that comes with the risk is very tempting too. .)

April 5, 2013

TigerGirl#4

I personally prefer (reading about) a bad boy who has a soft inside. They make the books so much more interesting and can be really easy to like

April 5, 2013

FatimaNov

Both. True, bad boys add drama and excitement but agood guys melt your heart with all their... niceness? Haha. I hope you guys know what I mean.

April 5, 2013

Paisch

I actually prefer the bad guys. They usually have a troubled past, and usually the main character can actually help them. This is pretty much true for any series I get into.

April 5, 2013

Shadowrose96

I don't usually prefer one or the other, I go by which connection feels the most genuine or enjoyable...but that being said it tends to lean towards the bad boy more often than not.

April 5, 2013

mstiger101

i usually prefer the bad boy. they are usually more adventurous and fun. but every onec in a while i go for the good guy

April 5, 2013

aliesha

Usually the bad guy.. Puppy dog syndrome... They can always come home with me and I will fix them .)

April 5, 2013

I love the YA Scavenger Hunts =)

April 5, 2013

paulined

I go for the good guys! They stick around longer.

April 5, 2013

Bad boys are generally more fun for short-term. Good guys are in it for the long haul.. I usually go for the good guys.

April 5, 2013

**{KaRiS}**

Okay this year there are WAAYYY more books i have to add to my TBR !!!! and some aren't even going to be released soon!!! Can't wait!!!

April 5, 2013

Tonkmom

I'm definitely a sucker for bad boys - they tend to have more fun, they're not afraid to dive in and *live* life (something your Tiger series reminded me is *SO* important!), they're more passionate - and it can be fun to uncover the good underneath!

April 5, 2013

Atmika

It depends on the character and the story. Though I do think that nowadays in YA genre good guys are seriously underrated.

April 5, 2013

fanindra1221

I prefer bad boys. I truly believe that the opposites attract in cases, and in my case, its the bad ones .)

April 5, 2013

Kristia

I prefer bad boys so that the heroines can reform them :) Thank you for the giveaway!

April 5, 2013

Chelsea

Im a sucker for the bad boys! they get me everytime. but if they cant be with the main girl then i still want them to be happy!

April 5, 2013

vilmarys

I would want a good guy because bad guys come with a lot of baggage.

April 5, 2013

lovewhitetigers

A good guy definitely. Good guys for the most part strive to do the right thing & are mostly predictable in the fact they won't purposely hurt someone. While a bad boy you never know what they are going to do which can be exciting but also very stressful never knowing if when they hurt you it was on purpose or accidental.

April 5, 2013

ZeenaS

Good boy :) Because mine is a good boy, even if he sometimes seems to prefer to look like a badboy :)

April 5, 2013

Melissa Robles

Hmm... I think I prefer nice guys, bad boys are harder to deal with!

April 5, 2013

RoseMoulton

I'm team Edward and Ren so I guess they are dangerous but nice boys!

April 5, 2013

operativealyssa

As what I observed, I'm easily attracted to bad guys. Maybe there's an inner me who wants to turn that bad guy into a good guy.

April 5, 2013

Chigirl97

A good boy because they will do all those little sweet things that are amazing an cute.

April 5, 2013

Binatamara

I believe that anyone can turn out to be good if the person really wants to and work for it to happen. But anyway if the boy looks bad, but I can see that his heart is good, that's enough to me. What really matters is if he wants to be good! WOW my comment was a bit confusing, I hope I have made myself clear. (:

April 5, 2013

chantelle

Well, the old me would've picked a bad boy, but then Matt from Flat-Out Love came along, and then Jace from My Life Next Door happened. So yeah, please give me a good guy.

April 5, 2013

anjeluc

good guys deserve a good ending. boy boys deserve to be reformed and loved. hurray for both.

April 5, 2013

maliha

oops got my email wrong. it's maliha.mals.khan10@gmail.com anyway, i choose bad boy. cause when good guys become bad guys, it hurts. but if a bad boy becomes a good boy, it's just adorable!!

April 5, 2013

ivana_wtsl

I love good guys :) Usually with the bad boys I'm just angry at how they treat girls. Thank you for the great hunt!

April 5, 2013

Tonyac0772

When it comes to romance, My favorite is a bad boy. I married the bad boy of my school. I love mysterious people and I love to show people that its not always what you see that counts. I also am a thrill seeker and an adrenaline junkie lol.

April 5, 2013

MaríaT

In the books I like bad boys. But in real life, are the good guys that make me sigh!!!! Thanks for the contest ♥

April 5, 2013

FranziK

Don't we all just dream of being with the bad guy. So I occasionally dream of the bad guy but choose the good guy. Less drama - I am a magnet for that myself :)

April 5, 2013

mbbuff

I would definitely pick the good guy. Although the bad guy might be intriguing and fun at the time, he's probably not the one who will be around long term and who will be there to hold you and comfort you when you need someone the most.

April 5, 2013

angelreads

I love a bad boy just because they are alot more fun

April 5, 2013

abjedi

Good guy, they are not out for them selves and usually have genuine interest.

April 5, 2013

RenKishEstela

When it comes to romance I would prefer somebody who make me happy whether good or bad because whats the point of being with somebody who's good and dosen't make you happy? No point of being with him and much better off alone. Love you Colleen!!! :)

April 5, 2013

Humhum

Hmm... depends on the actual character of them. A bad boy would be more fun but too bad he might break your heart.

April 5, 2013

mrsmonnandez

I'd prefer a good guy because he won't break my heart, and if he does, I'd know his heart is breaking, too.

April 5, 2013

annjh23

Either of them actually.. I think it depends on the story.. :D

April 5, 2013

greengp01

I prefer good guys! It's better to be nice I think :)

April 4, 2013

nish16

The bad guy definitely :P They are much more adventurous to be with!

April 4, 2013

cityofbooks

In books, I usually prefer the bad ones .)

April 4, 2013

amyrenae

Definitely a good guy! Bad boys might be sexy in a book, but I prefer someone I can trust & rely on

I would go for either a good guy or a bad boy. if they are nice to me and others, respectful, and understands me.

I love a good boy. Thanks for the giveaway! LOVE the Tiger Series!

April 4, 2013

iliveforreading

Hmm... toughie. Cause I DO love bad boys (sarcasm + overall sexiness = amazing) but good guys are just so sweet, and so caring, and gahhh... too hard to choose. I choose a mix (Y) :P Thanks for the amazing giveaway! :D

April 4, 2013

tiffmarie81

I think bad boys have appeal but good guys are better for romance. Also, I low the different ending of Destiny! It was awesome! :-)

April 4, 2013

petersonkatelyn

When it comes to the books I read, the characters with an air of mystery and a bit of a "bad boy" persona have always intrigued me. However, it is always the good guys that hold a place in my heart. If my life were a story in a novel, sure, I'd go for the mysterious, wild, outrageous guy. A bad boy can be a tempting character in a story, but, in real life, give me the good old, reliable guy next door.

April 4, 2013

pioneerclub

Colleen that ending was AMAZING!!!!! Oh my gosh I can't believe they have 2 kids!!! The 5th book is going to be amazing!!! It's going to be s bittersweet when it's finally over. I don't even want to be thinking about it I will cry for a week... Literally. Best series ever

April 4, 2013

RenandtheEyes

I love when a guy is really romantic and it makes me smile and stuff but i also really like a bad boy who can make you nervous just with a wink or a simple smirk

April 4, 2013

smidget

I think i like bad boys more, just because i love their charm and often sarcasm towards the main character but i do love a good guy every now and then :)

April 4, 2013

rima1166

Bad boys are so much more fun to read about, so they'd be the way to go if I was a fictional character in a book. But in real life, a good boy is much more practical. :)

April 4, 2013

Livy98

It definitely depends on the guy but I think I prefer a good boy in most situations because they are sweet and romantic. But I would like him to have a mysterious side and be manly and adventurous.

April 4, 2013

cpogon

I can never decide! I guess, whichever one seems to have the biggest heart. Even bad boys have big hearts. :)

April 4, 2013

Dragon'sDestiny

A good guy, because I know he will treat me right and always be there for me

April 4, 2013

pioneerclub

Bad boys are more adventurous and exciting. But I would rather go for the good guy like Ren.

April 4, 2013

careytran

Of course a good guy is always the best option, but what's adventure without a bit of thrill and excitement from a bad guy? :D If i had to choose, i'd choose the guy who is good for me, and is bad alongside with me.. if you know what i mean (.

April 4, 2013

kat_h9713

bad boy... because it's an adventure

April 4, 2013

bookworm5683

In books I always lean towards the bad boys but in real life I go more for the good guys but with an edge. I don't really like the goody two shoes type of guys. Thank you for the giveaway!

April 4, 2013

steelereviews

When it comes to romance, I prefer the bad boy. .-)

April 4, 2013

awac4ever

Normally, I prefer a bad boy who is able to love! However, with JLA's Covenant series I love me some AIDEN!! :)

April 4, 2013

courtvents

Eep. I'd have to go with a baddie (as long as his lesser-than-good acts can be justified.

April 4, 2013

Jane91

I had a very very good boyfriend once, let's just say that that didn't work so well. So I might go with bad boy, even though I would be pretty concerned about my heart... But in books, I like the bad boys most of the time.

April 4, 2013

avidreaderlisa

Bad boy or good boy...hmm that is a hard choice. It really depends on how bad the bad boy is or how good the good boy is, the perfect guy would be a mix of both I think

April 4, 2013

francinesoleil

I prefer good guys, but I can be swayed if the person proves to be worth it. .)

April 4, 2013

Stelina264

I prefer the bad boys usually, because there is something mysterious about them .)

April 4, 2013

marco901

I prefer bad boys because they are much more interesting than good boys (although not in the case of Ren - Team Ren all the way!!!) and it it's fun to see girls making them behave!

April 4, 2013

beckymmoe

In books--bad boys, definitely. So much fun. In real life, good guys, though. .) More reliable.

April 4, 2013

FantasyFan13

When it comes to romance, I prefer a good guy. I want someone who can put the needs of others before himself, because that is what love really is. :)

April 4, 2013

joannagriffin1@verizon.net

I always prefer a good guy. Im married to one and he knows how to be a bad boy in a good way, all the while being his good guy self. Ill fall head over heels every time for a good guy.

April 4, 2013

marco901

Hope I can win this giveaway finally!!!

Li-ven the Wes-t

As attractive as Bad Boys typically are, I have to go with the Good Guys. He'd be there for me, no matter what, and would do his best to try and not break my heart. BUT the one exception to that rule might be Kishan, even though my heart belongs to Ren .)

April 4, 2013

sparklyjazz

I prefer men like Kishan - strong, reliable, loyal, loving, and with a bit of a wild streak.

April 4, 2013

gaby891

The logical part of me says good boy, but I would prefer a bad boy .)

April 4, 2013

Good Boy, Good boys will always be there for you helping you where you need help and will bring you flowers

I Usually End Up Rooting FoR The Bad Boys, Not Sure Why, Maybe They Appeal To My Sense Of Danger? Plus, The Good Boys Tend To Be A Little Too Good!

April 4, 2013

booksbysteph

I've done both and they haven't worked so lets smash them up. I want a good guy that is a bad boy in the sense of protecting me, doing manly things with tools and rough in bed.

April 4, 2013

KariMejik

Good Guy's... I like a strong hero type. Preferably the reluctant hero type, someone who tries to pretend he doesn't care but can't help but try to save the world anyway .3

April 4, 2013

bhwrn1

Bad boy. I just like them to have mystery, intrigue and sassiness!

April 4, 2013

kimdlf

Good guy all the way!!! Life is way more content and amazing when you have that person that loves you more than anything, and wants nothing more than your comfort and happiness, by your side. I have been lucky enough to have found that person in my life 25 years ago and he has just gotten better and better every day! I wouldn't trade my "good guy" for anything!

April 4, 2013

sjgordon

I love love a bad boy, but I do usually vote for the good guy to win in the end. Depends on the story, but the good guy is usually the right one when all is said and done. The bad guy keeps the story fun:)

April 4, 2013

Stellar {Books, a Coffee, and a

I kind of like a bit of both. A bad boy to keep it interesting, and a nice guy to just be sweet (:

April 4, 2013

Steph T

Good Boy or BAd boy...... hmmm I say a mix between both If i can :). But book wise UGH I Love Kishan :(.

April 4, 2013

j27humenik

I think a good mix of both is important.. I would lose interest too quickly if they were too much of a good guy. I would probably automatically put them in the friend zone. However, too much of a bad boy probably wouldn't mesh well with my personality. I probably lean more towards the good guy.

April 4, 2013

Starfire Blaze

Good guys know how to treat a girl right. Not only do they make you feel GOOD, they are GOOD for you. A good guy will anything to make you happy. Bad boys have bad reputations.

April 4, 2013

kassie

I know most girls are crazy for the bad boys but I am a good guy girl! The more sweet they are to my family and I...the better! I married a good guy and I am so glad and lucky! :)

April 4, 2013

cwillette

I want to say I want the bad boy, but the problem is bad boys never stick around for long, so I have to say the good guy! -Cali W.

April 4, 2013

In books I prefer a somewhat bad boy because they have room for growth. [That's why I

April 4, 2013

Good guy wins in my book.

April 4, 2013

icastillor

I think every boy is part good part bad, only he chooses wich side to show. It's up to me to discover both sides!

April 4, 2013

stellaluna-skywind

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter as long as they love me for who I am. Bad Boy, good boy, somewhere in the middle boy it doesn't matter, as long as our love is true :3

April 4, 2013

Ally525

i perfer a good boy that has a bit of a devilish side :)it makes the story cute to read while also making you get all excited when a little bad boy nature comes out in him

April 4, 2013

2bilautas

I prefer the good guy, who would be willing to show more than his tough manly "I can handle it all" exterior. My ex ended up being a big bad boy that left a lot to be desired!

April 4, 2013

SarahLawrence

I prefer the bad boy that is only good for me. .) Having such a sweet and cute center but is hot and naughty on the outside... Yum.

April 4, 2013

quirkylady21

I'm usually attracted to the bad boy just because everything feels more volatile and exciting.

April 4, 2013

KishansGirl1

I would have to say I'm more into the bad boy type as usually all of them just act tough when underneath they are sweet & loving which is what draws me to them :D

April 4, 2013

YAVixensBeth

I think it all depends on the situation, whether or not I prefer a good guy or bad guy. Sometimes, I really want both!

April 4, 2013

Madoka

A good guy, I prefer someone with whom I feel safe over someone of whom I don't know how he is going to react (and maybe in a bad way) :)

April 4, 2013

AmberC

I like a good guy but one who is a little rough around the edges - a blend of the good guy and the bad boy .)

April 4, 2013

Gosto da poesia que são as palavras de um personagem bom, mas gosto também da força transmitida por um menino mal. Seu eu fosse escolher... eu teria uma paixão secreta com um menino bom, doce e apaixonante.

April 4, 2013

rajkumari378

I would prefer a good guy. I've dated bad guys before and found that there's not much depth in that kind of relationship. I prefer something lasting. Thank you for hosting and being apart of the YA Scavenger Hunt and for the giveaway.

April 4, 2013

caitbellleigh

I love bad boys! Something about them just makes me fall in love LOL

April 4, 2013

whitneyj1995

I love the good boys a lot and those are definitely the predominate characters that I fall for when I'm reading but I have to say in a lot of my favorite books I find myself falling for the bad boy :)

April 4, 2013

Iz_angel

I prefer a bad boy because they're more mysterious and very deep inside they can be emotional and understand what we would want better than a good guy. Plus a bad boy won't lie to you to make you feel better.

April 4, 2013

KateWeber

I'm a good boy lover while I'm reading, but I love writing the bad boys. (It's just fun.) I have had too much experience being hurt by the bad ones in real life. So when reading, I like the good boys. Though, I won't say no to a bad boy, of course.

April 4, 2013

Britt_Ritz

I prefer a good boy because at the end of the day they are always true, honest and loyal. Bad boys are trouble, and I prefer my sanity! :-)

April 4, 2013

AdrianaM

Both are good as long as they're interesting. If they bring the excitement, them I'm all in.

April 4, 2013

shahad

I prefer a good guy with bits of badness. I mean come on girls!!! you know you love some bad boy behavior!

April 4, 2013

sakuralight

I prefer the bad boy because they are hurt in some way and usually don't mean it. They turn good at the end once they solve the internal problem.

April 4, 2013

shialo

Thank you!!! Love your books! I perfer the bad boys they are more fun.

April 4, 2013

I'd pick a good guy always gotta watch out for the tricks of a bad guy

April 4, 2013

beckyallen5

I chose a good guy, although... he has a bit of a mischievous streak! THanks for some awesome books, and a fun giveaway!

April 4, 2013

japontef89

That's a bit of a tough one!! but in a romance I'd always want them to end up with a good guy. A bad guy can bring a bit of mystery. But in the end its usually the good guy that makes you want to say Aww!

April 4, 2013

bnickol

I prefer the good guy because I would rather be with someone I can trust rather than have to wonder about the other boy all the time, and someone who acts like a gentleman and their age :)

April 4, 2013

kyowolf

I prefer the good guys because I never could resist the sweet ones (:

April 4, 2013

Hotange19

I like boys who are in between. Not boring and not trouble makers:)

April 4, 2013

auddyreads

I think it really depends on the story but I usually lean towards the good guy :)

April 4, 2013

d4nniedarko

I can't exactly choose one of them. It really depends on the story

April 4, 2013

kydirtgirl68

A bad boy cause they do so many things so good and sometimes they turn out to be the good boy.

April 4, 2013

tokyo_deana

hard choice...it depends on the strength/soul power of man.if he can fight for his love it's good thing.no matter he is bad or good. anyway i think we have both sides bad and good. sometimes some side is more open than another...

April 4, 2013

Shainers3

Always a hard choice. Seeing as I love a bad boy...but a good guy as well. I think a good guy that is also a bad guy (and can back it up) not just acts like one. :) Shaina

April 4, 2013

Amanda Morganne

Good guy, all the way.

April 4, 2013

maaandagirl

i'd say i personally prefer a good guy who acts like a bad boy. Mix good guy qualities like, moral, shivery, and understanding with a sarcastic, devil may care bad boy attitude and you have a deadly combination to all!

April 4, 2013

Kasey Jo

I like a bad boy because they know how to have fun and live life.

April 4, 2013

knoxdiver

Bad boys are like mint chocolate chip ice cream: They're a good idea, but I'm just not into them. I know there's this weird misconception that good guys aren't passionate, but I don't think that's true. They're just nice, so being loving isn't a dramatic difference from their normal personalities. I just don't want to constantly worry if the "bad" part of the bad boy is going to overcome the love between us. In my book, good guys finish first.

April 4, 2013

mrsh1220

Depends on the character! Sometimes the bad boys are better.
